Nickel Plated Copper Strips (NPC).

We offer a high-quality Nickel Plated Copper Strips (NPC).

These strips are used for making terminals and contact plates in various types of batteries, including Li-ion, NiMH, lithium, mobile phone, and high current battery packs.

We use high-quality copper strips as a base material for NPC, which are then electroplated with Canada nickel squares (Ni>99.9%). HIMAX's unique annealing and post-metal treatment processes ensure that the NPC has excellent bending tolerance and maximum electrical conductivity.

We also offer two categories of NPC to match different usage requirements: Slit-After-Plating NPC and Plating-After-Slit NPC. The former is a cost-effective option as the slitting edges do not plate with nickel, while the latter has full nickel coating protection on both sides and slitting edges.

Customers / users are allowed to choose between Japan imported copper strips or China copper strips as the base material for NPC according to their application and cost plans.

Our NPC has outstanding bending tolerance, with a maximum of 8 times 180° bending tolerance property, thanks to their unique electroplating line that implements special plating, annealing, and treating processes to avoid brittleness in the copper strips after nickel plating.

We boast a precision deburring process that uses high precision deburring machines to erase all shaped edges of copper strips before nickel plating. This process ensures that the NPC can be used without damaging the battery material and avoids the leakage problem.
